Our interns bring fresh perspectives and meaningful support to the work we do at Kate’s Club, and we are excited to welcome this semester’s group to the team! Our fall interns include Marious and Cee Cee. Each intern brings valuable skills and a shared commitment to supporting children, families, and young adults who are grieving. We look forward to all they will contribute throughout the semester. With that, let’s meet our fall interns!
Meet Cee Cee: Kate’s Club Program Intern from the University of Georgia
Cee Cee is a graduate of Agnes Scott College and a current student at the University of Georgia, where he is pursuing a Master of Social Work with the long-term goal of becoming a licensed clinical social worker. He first learned about Kate’s Club when a family friend’s children became members. When the time came to select an internship placement, Kate’s Club was his first choice. Cee Cee is passionate about supporting children of all ages through both difficult times and joyful moments, and he looks forward to learning and gaining meaningful experience throughout his internship. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, reading, creating art, playing with his cats, and spending as much time in nature as possible.
Meet Marious: Kate’s Club Digital Marketing Intern from Kennesaw State University
Marious is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. His interest in digital storytelling, social media, and creating meaningful content led him to join Kate’s Club as a Digital Marketing Intern. This fall, Marious looks forward to bringing fresh ideas to the team and helping share Kate’s Club’s mission. In his free time, he enjoys filming and editing videos, photography, and creating social media content. He hopes to strengthen his marketing skills while using storytelling to remind grieving families that they are not alone.
Meet Emily: Kate’s Club Program Intern from the University of Georgia
Emily is a graduate student at the University of Georgia pursuing a Master of Social Work. She discovered Kate’s Club through UGA’s internship program and felt connected to the organization’s values and mission because of her own life experiences. A self-described theatre geek, Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Brenau University and currently works in warehousing and liquidation. In her free time, she enjoys singing musical theatre songs in her car, painting, crocheting, running, and cuddling with her cat. As a Program Intern, Emily hopes to use connection and creativity to support others while gaining experience in her new career path.

Families searching for grief counseling or grief support for a child nearby can turn to Kate’s Club for free, community-based programs across Georgia. Kate’s Club creates supportive spaces for children and teens, young adults, and families navigating life after the death of someone important to them. Through recreational and therapeutic group programs, education, and advocacy, participants can connect with others who understand grief. Founded in Metro Atlanta in 2003, Kate’s Club now serves communities throughout Metro Atlanta, Southwest Georgia, Northeast Georgia, and Coastal Georgia.
