Interns provide vital support to the Kate's Club mission of empowering children and teens, their families and young adults who are grieving. We would not be able to provide the scale and quality of free grief support services to our communities without our interns, and we are delighted to introduce you to our Spring 2026 intern cohort. Without further ado, meet the interns Alexandria, Julie, Brittany, Spiegel, Fernando, and Makayla who will support our free grief support programs in the Metro Atlanta, Southwest Georgia, Northeast Georgia and Coastal Georgia areas.

Alexandria is deeply passionate about mental health and music, and aspires to integrate her love for music into her future career as a Music Therapist. She believes that her experience with Kate's Club will equip her with the knowledge and skills necessary to support children's mental health and assist them in developing healthy coping mechanisms while grieving. In her spare time, Alexandria enjoys exploring new restaurants, producing music, and traveling.
Meet Kate's Club Grief Support Intern Julie

Julie is a recent graduate from Georgia State University with a B.S. Degree in Psychology and a minor in Educational Psychology. In her day to day life, Julie loves listening and singing to music as well as attending musicals and plays at the Fox Theater. She loves working with children and finds being an advocate for mental health very important as she find that these are her main priorities and callings in life. The mission of Kate’s Club is very personal and powerful to them. They are excited to be able to help individuals in similar predicaments to where they were as a Kate's Club member, and they are even more excited to see what they can learn from the many wonderful people involved in Kate’s Club, from its members to its staff. In their free time, they enjoy making digital art, coding, DJing, reading, and moving in nature. Spiegel hopes to use their degree to aid the communities they care about, from specializing in queer-oriented therapy to working in drug rehabilitation facilities.
