As an Outreach Intern, you will play a critical role in building connections with schools and professionals across the Metro-Atlanta area. You will work closely with the Kate’s Club team to promote our programs, engage school professionals, and manage outreach services. This internship offers valuable experience in marketing, program coordination, and data management while advancing Kate’s Club’s mission.
Interns will be directly supervised by Kate’s Club Outreach Team and can be undergraduate or graduate students pursuing course credit. This is an unpaid internship, but specific internship periods, hours, and work agreements are negotiable. At least 24 hours of in-office and virtual availability per week is preferred, with priority given to full-time candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate school group outreach, including contacting schools to explain Kate’s Club’s services and how we can support their students.
- Assist in facilitator coordination, including managing supply needs and ensuring supplies are organized and available for programs.
- Carry out coordinated marketing efforts for school groups and other services, including sending brochures and managing promotional materials.
- Develop and manage newsletters to keep school professionals informed about our services.
- Compile and maintain a comprehensive email list of school contacts with a goal of securing at least two per county.
- Manage outreach service requests in the Metro-Atlanta area, ensuring timely and effective follow-ups.
- Oversee the collection, entry, cleaning, and analysis of school group survey data.
- Support the Kate’s Club team in data management and reporting related to school group programs.
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated interest in and comfort with outreach, education, or community engagement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with an ability to track multiple activities while keeping a focus on the mission of the organization.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic data analysis (experience with tools such as Excel is a plus).
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing outreach strategies and materials.
- Preferably the ability to work in the office 24 hours a week.
- A passion for the Kate’s Club mission and a willingness to discuss grief and loss in a professional setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred but not necessary.
