Are you rooted in the Cobb County community?

We are seeking a thoughtful, caring individual who can continue to build out our unique bereavement programming in Cobb County, GA. You will have a talent for building relationships across a community, from school officials to health care providers. You will be able to talk with families and explain the unique benefits of Kate’s Club programming. And you will be able to handle many administrative tasks at once, including tracking activities and outcomes. Your work will expand our successful and unique bereavement offerings to the Cobb County community.

What you'll do

Creating and maintaining strong relationships with local community partners - 50% of role

You will build and maintain relationships with key leaders in the community, including schools, faith organizations, hospices, hospitals and counseling agencies. You will drive the targeting and needs assessment for Kate’s Club services in the county.

Program management and facilitation - 40% of role

You will plan and facilitate programming for children, families, and young adults. You will collaborate with schools and community partners to identify potential participants and drive engagement in our programs, with grief support groups in schools and Clubhouse programs in satellite Cobb locations and our Brookhaven location as needed.

Track and report progress of efforts - 10% of role

Tracking the outcomes of this work is critically important to ensure the continued support of our stakeholders. You will be responsible for collecting data and providing reports on programs, groups and community outreach as part of this role.

What you'll bring

  • A love of detail and execution: the ability to track multiple activities while still keeping a focus on the mission of the organization.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience working in a social service or mental health-related field; a bachelor’s degree in a human or social services field. Master’s Degree considered favorably.
  • Familiarity with services in Cobb County and surrounding counties.
  • A passion for the Kate’s Club mission and an understanding of grief and loss.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel within Cobb County and to Brookhaven location.
  • Enthusiasm to elevate Kate’s Club brand and messaging locally and nationally, including presenting to prospective community partners.
  • Ability to track and report data required for grant reporting.  
  • The ability to work weekends and evenings.
