Join Kate's Club
We're glad you've found Kate's Club. To enroll in our programs, you'll need to complete the following steps:
1. First you'll need to complete an application. You can download an application here, and please don't hesitate to call 770-618-4474 with any questions.
2. Mail the completed and signed application back to Kate’s Club when you and your child feel comfortable to move forward. Or you can fax the application to 770-618-4476.
3. Attend the next scheduled "Cookies with Kate" orientation program. Held the first Monday of each month, this gives you an opportunity to come and meet other Kate’s Club volunteers, and staff at our Clubhouse.
4. After the Open House, a follow up call will be placed to you and your family. This call provides us with the opportunity to have open communication about your experience at the open house, as well as determine your child’s level of interest in joining Kate’s Club. If decision of interest is made, each interested child will be mailed a personal interest form to complete as well as a list of upcoming program opportunities.
**Please Note: If space is not available at the time the application is received a phone call will be placed to the family and with consent, the interested child will be placed on our waiting list. Immediate needs of the family will be discussed, and Kate’s Club will make every attempt to refer your family to an alternative community resource that meets your child’s need until further direct service can be provided by the organization.

Kate's Club Support Groups
These groups are open to any child or teen who have lost a loved one to death at any time in their lifetime. Groups are held weekly at the Clubhouse and are facilitated by a trained Kate's Club staff or volunteer.
For Parents and Caregivers
The Park Bench
This program exclusively serves the surviving parents and guardians of our kids. Each quarter a gathering of support is facilitated for the parents and guardians while the kids attend the monthly outing.
All parents and guardians of active Kate's Club kids are invited to participate in a social gathering of support and friendship sponsored by Kate's Club. Location for Park Bench activities have varied but all have created a private forum to talk and share encouraging the formation of supportive relationships.

KC Community Outreach
Kate Atwood, Founder and President enjoys speaking to organizations, community groups, schools and businesses about the gr ief of children and her personal experience that led to the creation of Kate's Club. Kate brings an uplifting and exciting lesson about loss that can be translated for all age groups and types of organizations.
Support for Kate's Club and grieving families goes well beyond donations. Part of the mission of Kate's Club is to raise awareness and understanding of the needs, issues and challenges of grieving children and families. More than 30,000 children in the Atlanta area are grieving the death of a parent and need our support in their young lives. These children are in every school, neighborhood and community we live in. By bringing Kate into your community group or business, you can help us spread awareness of the need to support children and teens emotionally at-risk, coping with the death of a loved one.
Please contact Kate's Club at 770-618-4474 or send an email to kate@katesclub.org if you are intersted in arranging a speaking presentation or requesting written resources to help your group.
